Can I do my own electric work?
NO! While it may seem like a good way to save money, it is very dangerous! Only a licensed electrician should be handling wires that could potentially electrocute someone who doesn’t have the proper knowledge.
Why do some of my outlets have “buttons” on them?
These outlets are called Ground Fault Circuit Interrupters (GFCI). A GFCI is a device that de-energizes a circuit when a dangerous current fault occurs. In other words water and electric don’t mix!!! This outlet is made to protect you.
